Review on eSamcore Wireless Charging Compatible Phone Metal Plate – Magnet Sticker for Magnetic Car Phone Mounts [2-Pack] by Chris Parrott

After reading some other reviews I was hesitant to buy these magnets for my Pixel 5. I got a wireless charging station for Christmas but didn't want to give up my vent magnets to use my phone as a GPS on the go. It's currently the only product that claims to support both wireless charging and magnetic attachment. After some time I decided to pull the trigger and was not disappointed! I have a Spigen Rugged Armor case on my Pixel 5, which I would call a medium-thick case. It's fairly thin but still offers good protection. But I was a bit worried that the case would interfere with the charging circuit or that this magnet wouldn't be strong enough to attach securely to the car mount. Fortunately none of these problems occurred. Once I replaced my old magnet with this one, I put it on the charger and it started charging! Previously, he tried to charge, but was immediately interrupted because of the old-style magnet. I was also a little concerned about heat dissipation, but while the phone gets a little warm, it doesn't seem to heat up at all. My charger also needs to have overheat protection and I haven't seen it work yet. The magnet itself appears to be made out of a flexible material whereas my previous magnet was rigid. Apparently, this material change makes it compatible with wireless charging - either metal-free or with a different composition. Now for the final test, I attached the phone to the magnetic car mount and it snapped easily into place! I can't tell any difference between my previous magnet and this one. You drive along the road, overcome bumps, speed bumps, etc. - everything stays where it should be. The phone does not move or slide. It's been about a week since I installed it and so far I haven't had any complaints! I am happy to see that someone has made such a wonderful product. So far I haven't found anything else that does this. Now if they could just make a magnetic car mount that also charges the phone at the same time, then they would be done.
