Review on Tacony Corporation Universal Machine Needles 120 by Jennifer Roberts

I was looking. I needed a strong needle for my machine so I could sew with ballistic nylon. This is hard stuff. Similar to the canvas, but not so much "give". I have a good quality home machine suitable for the project (or so I hoped!) but my needles were too light. After a long search I decided on two different needles. This is one of them. This is a pack of five (5) size 120 (Eu) or 20 (US) needles. For those who don't know, this is a BIG and STRONG needle. I was hoping I wouldn't have to use them, but I bought them just in case. I also bought some 110/18, what i thought do the job. To say I was satisfied would be an understatement. ! These needles are really strong. I ended up using them instead of 118 because I could ride a little faster and still not have to worry about breaking. although the 118s also coped with their task. These needles are "universal", suitable for standard machines. If your machine uses standard size needles like 100/16, 70/10, 90/14 or ? used, basically any needle of this size is suitable. There are different styles of lace for use with different fabrics, but sizes are fairly standard. As mentioned above, these needles are heavy. The largest size usually given for domestic machines is 110/18. This is the next step more of it. I know, that they are heavy. I know this size is not commonly used on home machines. I know. I understand.! As I said, I needed the size because I sewed from a very durable material. And I was ready to try them, knowing they were a size larger than recommended for home machines. I have absolutely no problems with these needles. They worked great and I haven't broken any yet. So if you need a DURABLE needle for a project and want something to TRY, consider this one.
