Doesn't reach its full potential
The kinetic globe looks incredibly cool as an idea. Assembled something is glued and the two balls can't go crazy in opposite directions - that's what makes the design so interesting. It's not clear why this particular puzzle went wrong. I did everything exactly according to the instructions: sanded, waxed and checked at each assembly step whether the parts could be moved without friction. But somehow the rotations were slow and short lived after all the shapes were added. Disappointing.
