I really like the fact that you don't need to glue all the pieces together. With the pieces being laser cut, they fit together very snugly. I haven't finished it yet but the moving parts work very smoothly. The directions are very good so you don't have to be a mechanical engineer to put it together. I didn't like the fact that they give you wax as a lubricant, it doesn't stick to the wood well, so instead I used some Crisco and works great! I can't wait to finish it.

I bought this for my dad (63) and we built it together over the Christmas holiday. I fully expected the experience of building it to be the fun part, which it was. But once we got it fully assembled, it actually worked! The gears turn smoothly, the balls roll through with no hitch. I think we spent as much time playing with it as we did building it! It's now going to Dad's office to make all the other IT folks jealous!

Fun build the wooden dowels where hard to get in and left my fingers sore but it was well worth it!Ill be looking for more from this maker to buy.

Was skeptical of the sturdiness of the finished product until i built it. Has some extra parts. There were a few large pieces that i was scared of breaking that you have to be really careful removing. The laser cuts leave a slight attachment to the frame. I did crack two pieces but it was a minor issue. Maybe consider some wood glue to reinforce a few attachments but everything was nice and snug.

I think the greatest thing about this puzzle is the fact that the parts are laser cut and very, very precise. I am 87 years old and this was my first try at something like this. Puzzle went together and worked as it should have. One Note: Directions are a little vague in some areas but just take your time and think it out and everything will work out. I used a magnifying glass to enlarge the pictures and this helped a lot.

This is totally cool. We got this for our college age son, who likes to build all sorts of various things. He loved this and it works very well once built. The way the "stairs" work to lift the balls back to the top is great.

If you enjoy building as I do, then this is for you. I would definitely recommend this for anyone who enjoys a little challenge, and putting 3d puzzles together.

Too fragile parts, very easily pops out and unstable, wish it was real wood rather than compress wood. Good to keep the kids engaged, but not reusable.

I bought this for my son. He is a little to old for Legos (27 years old), so this was a great alternative. He enjoyed assembling it, and was impressed that he did not need any tools or glue. I will definitely purchase more products from this company.

I bought this as a gift for my sister in law. She likes to be challenged by puzzles and building things. She really enjoyed putting this together. She said it was challenging yet fun. This is the 3rd one I've sent her, and maybe the hardest to do.

I got this to keep my self busy while camping in the rain. I was stuck in side so why not. The construction was very great and well documented. As it is made of wood you do have to take great details in to make sure things are level and square. At the end I had to make sure it is 100% level. This is the second robotime 3d wooden project I've started with kids.To be honest this is more difficult than expected. Instructions can be complex for some steps, and reading them a second time is recommended. My kid is used to build lego sets regularly and do not need any help for them but for the robotime ones this is very different. This was so much fun to put together. I painted all the pieces with water color so it wouldn’t add a thick coating but it would still be visually pleasing. My 3 years nephews loved playing with it and it were able to figure out how it worked instantly, but it is not the best for kids to assemble themselves. Very good quality! I’ve bought other projects like this and the lazer cutting is very clean. The wood didnt really need any prep before assembly. Would definitely recommend.

This is very cool. The pieces are well made and easy to separate and assemble. The pieces fit snugly and it's very sturdy. I have assembled wood kits from other manufacturers and this one is a much higher quality. I definitely recommend it.

Wonderful set and very fun to work on. Definitely use the included wax stick on some parts (the pistons!). My 8 year old was able to do it on his own, but any child younger might need a bit of oversight/help. But even teenagers or adults (who like building things) would enjoy these things!

Product was as I expected. All parts clearly marked. Instructions were pictures however if the builder pays close attention, assembly is easily understood. After assembling, adjustments may be required along with additional sanding so the steel marbles move and roll freely.
