Good hands on learning

Pros: All kits have a motor, Propulsion by air, tracks and wheels (two and all wheel drive). Introduces young people to the mechanics of motion ( gears, belts, wheels, propellers, and treaded wheels).Cons: For the most part all of the "snap out" pieces can be removed cleanly, however one kit was not cut through and had some splintering which had to be cut out with an Exacto knife. The parts need to be sanded smooth and at a slight bevel on the edges where the parts interlock with each other…

Pros
  • It was a perfect building experience and exercise for my 5 year old. Got him thinking and focusing.
Cons
  • Some small parts may pose a choking hazard for young children

Very big hit with 7 year old!

Bought for Grandson age 7 who loved it. It’s well made- with very clean laser cuts. Even has a file to trim off an occasional spur. Just difficult enough for a kid with an adult nearby. Best part is these vehicles actually zip around the floor! Each has its own motor. Much more fun than his busywork, 200+ small component expensive Lego sets with look stupid characters and faux city situations. This is actually mechanically educational. Grandpa loved all 5 items as well. A big hit! Sensibly…

Pros
  • the product was durable and easy to assemble for my autistic grandson
Cons
  • My son so excited he built one and batteries don't work so disappointing

Buy this instead of ANOTHER movie

These kits were pretty cool. If you struggle with building IKEA furniture this may not be for you. Some instructions wired the motors backward which made for an awesome troubleshooting lesson with my 5yr old. There are screws to hold everything together making the toys more durable than simply snapping together.A great way to spend a rainy day. Each kit is individually wrapped so I'll be using these or similar in gift bags at the next birthday party. Rather than cheap preassembled junk why not…

Pros
  • Challenging🤦🏼‍♀️
Cons
  • May not be challenging enough for advanced learners

5 totally independent kits, awesome!

I was very impressed by the fact that they gave 5 separate motors and battery units , which allow you to build and use all 5 vehicles independently. Usually kits like these have you reuse the electric parts, but this is great -- no disassembling and taking out vital parts of the old vehicle required! you can run all 5 at once!great for kids 8 and up. Instructions are easy enough to follow but I took one star out because of come confusion caused by different colored parts than stated in the…

Pros
  • Thank you for your prompt delivery! I appreciate this greatly!
Cons
  • Found that the instructions were missing too technical to build without them

100% recommended on my review.

I absolutely love this STEM set. This 5 in 1 set comes with everything you need, minus batteries. Easy assembly as direction are clear and precise. Quality of these are great but a little fragile so gentle hands are needed. My kiddo and I work together to build these vehicles. He loves to see his work turn into a functional vehicle. My favorite feature is him learning attention to detail and problem solving skills. And to be honest I enjoyed building with him not only for one on one time but…

Pros
  • Great activity! Children loved it! Look forward to buying more!
Cons
  • May not be suitable for children who are not interested in STEM subjects

Challenging and Fun

This product was just enough of a challenge for my 7 year old Grandson, who is a budding architect or engineer, to say the least.

Pros
  • grandsons loved constructing them
Cons
  • May not work as intended if instructions are not followed exactly

Great present: my feedback

Looked for a present for an Engineering friend's 5 year old son for his birthday. What a hit! When he opened the gift, he didn't want to open any more. He wanted to start putting this together. He is very smart for his age. His Dad says he puts these together regularly and his Mom thanked me for getting it for him.

Pros
  • Enhance children’s science knowledge: The endless fun buliding toys encourage kids learn and reinforce basic STEM, ideal stocking stuffers toys for boys age 8-12, great for educational and entertainment purposes.
Cons
  • May not encourage children to pursue careers in STEM fields

Hard to believe this got good reviews

My granddaughter and I put this together, put in the batteries and switched it on…and nothing. Changed the batteries (just in case), checked All of the connections….and nothing. Tried another motor from one of the other kits. It ran for ten seconds…. then nothing. Did it again with another motor…ten seconds, then nothing. Seems all of the motors burn out quickly under any load (like wheels). I am surprised there were no other complaints about the poor quality of the motors. Maybe the company is

Pros
  • Safe material: All parts are made of high-quality, non-toxic, and safe materials. Laser pre-cut 3D wooden puzzles are easy to assemble, allowing kids to focus on the building process and reduce screen time.
Cons
  • May be too focused on theory rather than hands-on experimentation

It is a most incredible little toy

There was nothing to dislike. At 67 years old I hope I never grow up. How you develop what you do is mind boggling. I cannot tell you how much I enjoy making your models and all the others from other companies. I hope you never stop doing what you do and I hope you get as much pleasure developing them as I do in making them. Thank you Ed C.

Pros
  • Good kit
Cons
  • May not be suitable for children with developmental or physical disabilities

Creative, Educational & Fun!

My nephew loved assembling these and playing with each vehicle after he built each one! I loved that I gifted him something fun AND educational. Can’t get better than that when it comes to gifts for kids.

Pros
  • Fun to assemble. Very fragile for kids. Parent must help with little screws.
Cons
  • May not provide enough educational value for the price

Cheap materials: my feedback

We got a product from National Geographic and this one popped up on the recommended products. Compared to National Geographic it’s flimsy and the wood snaps and breaks easily. We had to superglue some pieces together and my builder commented that the wires break and it was a strange material for wires.

Pros
  • Safe for children to use
Cons
  • May not promote independent learning or discovery

Highly recommended, simply AMAZING

I highly recommend this STEM kit. I got it for my 5-year-old twin boys. Of course, I had to do most of the assembling myself but the kids participated. They looked at the instructions, found the right parts and prepared them. The screws are tiny, so I had to insert the screws and start screwing them, and the boys finished the screwing. But their thrills from discovering all the mechanics. Oh, my. It’s worth a lot. So far, we have assembled three models out of five, and they all work (go…

Pros
  • 5 different kinds of model cars in one kit: This STEM Kit comes with all of the parts you need to build own model car kits. Innovative STEM projects for kids age 8-12 year old.
Cons
  • May not provide enough guidance for children who struggle with abstract concepts

BIG PATIENCE with tiny parts

We assembled 3 of the 5 toys. Each toy is bagged separately and the instruction booklets were loose in the box. The bags were not labeled, so we had to look at the pictures in the booklets and match it up with the parts in the bag. It's all "assemble by picture".Sometimes it could get frustrating. EX - putting a gear on the left side instead of the right caused the car to go in reverse. And of course it was step 2 of a 15 step process! So we had to take it all apart and redo it.Wood panels are…

Great gift! in my review

Bought this for a 10 year old, and he LOVED it. He did require some help completing it, but it was a great way to spend some time together.

Pros
  • Provides hours of entertainment for children
Cons
  • May not provide enough opportunities for children to engage with experts in STEM fields

Get this kit! good for me

My 9 y/o picked this kit as an end of school project kit. He built them all.than started creating different vehicles by crossing parts from the different kits! This gives them something they can be creative with and see results fast!

Pros
  • Used for a stem activity and kids loved it
Cons
  • The product is fascinating but it is breaking as we put it together, and that is very disappointing

Wow! This is amazing!

Bought this for my 5 yo (soon to be 6) grandson. He loves to build things. This was the perfect gift. He and his dad spent a couple hours building the tank and they were both so proud of the tank. I love that it had multiple projects in 1 pkg. It will help my grandson develop critical thinking skills that will serve him throughout his life. Great gift!

Pros
  • A perfect gift idea for kids who love building and experimenting
Cons
  • May not encourage children to think critically about the ethical implications of STEM fields

the fun part is to build a car with a motor and make it run

my 6 yr old grand son was thrilled to receive this set for his birthday and couldn't wait to start building the first car. he had a little help from his 10 yr old brother and soon it was assembled, had batteries in it and was running.he was so proud of his work and very much enjoyed playing with it.in the meantime his whole set was put together, well worth the purchase as it's also somewhat educational and exciting motorize the vehicles

Pros
  • Grandson loves them, perfect for us to do together!
Cons
  • May require adult supervision for safety reasons

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Cool Idea, needs better quality.

We loved that it was something to do. The instructions are step by step pictures. I wish they had some explanation for the pictures. My kids loved it, but they fall very easily. They worked ok, but they would "knocked loose” and the kids would get upset.

Pros
  • Ok
Cons
  • Limited scope of projects may rapidly bore children

Great gift good for me

I bought this for my 6 year old son who loves to build and test things. This was fantastic. He spent all day working on these things. He needed a little help in the beginning but largely did it on his own. I would not recommend it for a younger age but I could see even an 8 or 9 year old liking this as well.

Pros
  • Suitable for both boys and girls
Cons
  • May not provide enough opportunities for peer feedback and evaluation

Great projects for 9 year old grandson

I was impressed that you get 5 motorized vehicles for $20. My 9 year old grandson didn't need any help with assembly and was able to follow directions easily.

Pros
  • Suitable for children aged 8-12 years old
Cons
  • May be too reliant on pre-built structures rather than free-form creation
