    Great looking finished product with mechanical issue

    This is a time consuming product to put together. Be prepared to spend a whole day building it. Lots of tiny pieces and snapping pieces together requires an exercise in patience. While it is a gorgeous looking model, the solar powered mechanism to make it move did not work for me. The wheels do turn and gears are aligned properly. My son and I were disappointed that it did not move when we took it outside.Fix the solar and mechanical issue and this would be a five star product.

    Kept my son busy for hours!

    This product is wonderful, it kept my son busy for hours. He loves building things, he is 13 years old and was a Christmas present. I wasn’t sure that he would have liked it, but it turned out to be one of his best presents ever. He shows it to anyone who comes over our house. I would purchase this again! Thank you for such an awesome product!

    Solar panel did NOT work.

    Bought this last January when it was like 50% off and it was only in May that we were able to take it out of the box and assemble it. Had my 11 year old put it together and it took her more than 6 hours to assemble by herself and finished by nighttime. We tried a high lumens flashlight to make it move but it did not work so we waited for the sun the following day. Noon time under TX sun with no clouds - did not even budge a bit. My daughter was disappointed. Like what the other reviewer…

    Fun model to build.

    Got this for my son for Christmas. Spent time over the next day or so putting it together. The directions were mostly clear. We found that removing parts with an exacto knife gave a cleaner removal. This was very fun.

    Nice piece when assembled but not for unsteady hands!

    Loved putting this together. I am an experienced hobby wood worker and puzzle fan. I would say some of the assembly was a bit tricky and would be hard to do for younger kids or stiff hands. All pieces were well cut and easy to punch out. Some extra pieces are included in case the first one breaks. Over all I would recommend this.

    Nice inexpensive model

    First off while this may be advertised as a "learning toy", and it is in a way like all model kits are, it's just as good for adults as well, making for a great rainy day project. The pieces are easy to separate, and assembly is fairly straightforward following the instructions, with the occasional misprint or mistranslation easy to figure out. The pieces are fairly thick for the price you pay so there is little worry in breaking them while assembling. Make sure you take your time assembling it

    Bought this for my 13 year old. Super STEM boy super engineering mond. loves build things. if this describes your child. BUY THIS! IF your child is/was into Legos. or has ADHD. ADD /ODD , OCD he/she WILL LOVE THIS🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

    Solar Power Cell never worked

    First the instructions are terrible and the videos on my phone ran so fast it was impossible to see what they did. It was nice that the parts were clearly numbered and easy to identify. The motor would not run out of the box, tried outside in sun light, no luck. After assembly the gears rotated easily and everything else worked as designed. It was disappointing that the power portion did not work.

    Great for all kids, even younger

    This was a great purchase for my 7-year-old nephew. I thought it would be a little too advanced for him, but he put it together with only a couple of questions. We got him some paintbrushes too, and he had as much fun painting it as putting it together.

    My son was very excited to put this together. He was able to accomplish this with ease. Unfortunately the solar cell or motor did not work. This left a very disappointed child. Unfortunately would not recommend given the obvious quality issues.

    Fun, inexpensive project - iffy quality on the solar panel though

    I bought a couple of these ROKR wooden DIY desk toys for cheap, on a whim and not sure what to expect. The detail and fitment of the parts is surprisingly good considering the cost. The rover models are not terribly complex, but will keep you occupied for a few hours and you end up with a cool little desk toy.I knocked off one star because my kit seems to have a non-functioning solar panel. It doesn't matter much to me, but if you gave this to a kid and they wanted to see it rolling around…

    This was a gift for an eleven year old boy. After initial excitement, opening the gift gave great joy with lots of piece organization and putting pieces together to finishing the project and enjoying the great construction and solar panel. This gave great personal pride and was a showpiece to all visitors!

    This was a Christmas present and my 10 year old loves the aspect of putting it together and then being able to use it. Multiple pieces have broke in the process of putting it together. He is very careful and quite skilled at building but some of the pieces are difficult

    Fun to assemble for my opinion

    Much easier to assemble than some other wood models. Haven't had enough sun to take it out and check if the solar panels can actually produce enough power to propel it. It does use more glue than some. Happy I bought it, you will be too it looks great.
