My original battery for my Dell Laptop was down to only lasting 10 minute after fully charging about an hour. I purchased this to replace that battery. I am not great at opening up laptops to get at components and replacing them. I was able to get that done in about 40 minute (i know i am slow). I let the laptop charge for about an hour before checking on the battery and it was fully charged. I have been using new battery for about 3 weeks now and it appears to last about 3.5 hours on full charge. This the same as original Dell battery when it was new. I have noticed any extra heat from new battery and am very happy to have it replaced so my laptop is free to wander (unwired) again.
