Full Voguestrap Watch Band Test

Full Voguestrap Watch Band Test So let's get started. I have a Casio W-71...the same style I've had for about 30 years. I got a "fashion watch" from a wealthy relative, but to be honest I don't think I'll ever stop wearing this plain black Casio watch. The last time I wore out my strap I managed to get a good discount on an OEM Casio strap that was identical to the original. In this review I compared the OEM strap to the Voguestrap strap. If you want to get straight to the point, then the bottom line is that this harness is nearly identical in every way. In fact, I would swear they were made on the same machine. Details: Rubber Thickness: I measured with a micrometer. The tape is the same thickness as the OEM tape. Rubber "Temperament": Over the years I've had non-Casio straps that I didn't like the rubber on... they were either too "soft" or "brittle". At first I thought this one was "boring" as one of the other reviewers mentioned. I spent a little time bending and bending it here and there. In the end I decided it was actually almost identical. It's a little "softer" (less springy) than my existing strap, but hardly... and I'm not sure if it's not just because my strap has become "harder" on my wrist over the past few years. " has become. . I have two other new watches in stock (you know they don't make the W-71 anymore) and I've compared the strap to them and again, they're very similar but maybe *a little* less bouncy. Width/Length: Same as OEM position and configurationHole: Same as OEMClasp: The ONLY thing that separates my OEM strap from this strap is the stainless steel clasp. My Casio strap has a black plastic clasp (I prefer it) and this is stainless steel. Those who say the strip is more difficult to insert are right! The clasp of the Voguestrap is 0.17" narrower than the OEM strap and is actually 0.006" narrower than the strap that was meant to go through. So it's no wonder that insertion is more difficult. This is the ONLY disappointment with this watch strap and the only difference from the OEM. I swear these straps were made on the same equipment. Voguestrap is marked "Made in Hong Kong". I'm not sure where my OEM strap was made. I'm considering upgrading the shutter to OEM. They never break and I should be able to pop them out and turn them off easily... and that would solve the "tight on insertion" problem. Otherwise, this inexpensive replacement group is a hit!
