Not overly impressed with the training and behavior guides

I have 2 dogs. A 14 year old Yorkie and a 9 month old Miniature Golddoodle. the usual things they always bark at. Then, after the first day, the dogs didn't care and barked at it. I increased it to 3 and put it in the same room they were in and they didn't seem to care. I'm guessing it's probably more for older dogs than puppies, but I swear it worked for at least 1 day.
