Installation and assembly. While many people disregard instruction manuals, I'm not one of them. I even read the terms and conditions before accepting them and I know that 9 out of 10 people reading this review don't. Despite this, I found it difficult to assemble the coffee maker after receiving it today. First, using the cap as a trigger is stupid. If you move the machine with the lid open for any reason, the lid can be easily damaged or broken. Second, there is a natural human tendency to close the lid, but doing so would cause the water to spill out and make a mess because the carafe wasn't in place. Then the power turns off. According to the manual, "I" is on and "O" is off. There's a blue light that lights up when it's on, but the light is shaped... you guessed it... oh, so I poured water, flipped the switch, which later, I later realized, was off and waited half the time. Hour. The coffee came out like iced tea. The lid of the decanter is also very thin, so there is a risk of tearing it when cleaning. I've had a Bunn microcontroller for many years and the plug-ins are built like bricks. It's clear that Bunn is cutting spending in the wrong places. Ease of use --- Once set up and switched on (*), the machine is quite easy to use. You pour in water displacing about the same volume of water already heated (hello Archimedes) and the coffee starts to come out. (*) If the machine is not already switched on, it must be warmed up for 15 minutes (according to the instructions) . During this time, it would be nice if the light on the power button would change from red (not ready) to teal (ready), but unfortunately no one at Banna came up with that simple idea. During these 15 minutes, the machine will emit a humming/buzzing sound, which is due to the heating of the water in the tank. Some reviews have complained that the audio is too loud and can be heard from other rooms in the house. Not for me; If you're not a K9 trainer, I don't think that's a problem. It can take up to 4 minutes for the coffee flow to stop (according to the user manual). Seems like a long time but then when you maybe make a full pot. So far I've only made 6 cups (10 max). Taste --- This machine makes coffee without bitterness. After drinking bitter coffee for years and thinking I was used to "strong" coffee, I've still put up with the taste of coffee from this machine, and I don't like it. I won't be surprised if I get a taste. On the other hand, it is almost impossible to make strong coffee. I experimented with doubling the amount of coffee beans and didn't really like the taste of the brew.
