After a lot of "fuss" with this controller, I update the rating and put another star. Much of what was said before still applies. The manual does not provide clear information on how to use the menu. Some experimentation and a very careful reading of the manual will provide the necessary information. Settings will be erased or overwritten if the battery is removed and reconnected. The auto-detect feature repeatedly set my gel battery to "flooded" type "b01" and once to lithium. The way the graphics work doesn't match what actually happens. The voltages are marginally accurate compared to an actual voltmeter, but sufficient to get the job done. The controller does not allow turn on at dusk and turn off at dawn only 0-24 hours after turn on at dusk. When set to zero, the rightmost switch on the controller is used to toggle the load output on and off. The time is inaccurate. Set for 10am, the light turns on at dusk - currently around 8:45pm and works until 4:30am - around 7 hours and 45 minutes. This controller has two USB ports for charging your phone. But I'm not sure why. It should be in a convenient location or have a long charging cable plugged into a USB port. Be sure to purchase the correct pigtail connectors for your system. The controller is just that - a controller with no accessories. Only has screw terminals for pigtail wires. The controller only works as advertised and charges relatively well and shows some basic graphics. Reverse polarity protection is a good feature as dual plug SAE connectors can have two polarizations. The product is not waterproof and must be stored in a well-protected area. The lack of the ability to turn on at dusk and turn off at dawn reduces the usefulness of this charger. Otherwise this is a good charger.
