I was a bit concerned when I ordered them. I mean, right, five skirts for $50? How can it be? But I had already spent $50 on frustration, so I went ahead and clicked. Just a few days later (thanks Revane Prime!) I rolled over in my bedroom just as pleased with my purchase. I bought them to wear mainly as skirts but they came with an instruction booklet and lots of YouTube videos. Just search for "Indian Magic Wrap Skirt". I'll be wearing them a lot this summer, multicolored t-shirts and tank tops. I think it's going to be "country boho mom season"! We are also going to India in December with the whole family and I think they will be very useful to us. Lightweight and easy to pack, they're discreet for temple visits and the like, and look great with a light blouse or t-shirt and sandals. They should more than make up for my expected wealth of ethnic jewelry. :) Size wise they fit me quite comfortably and there are two strap holes so there is room to adjust. Right now I'm Lane Bryant in a size 22 and am trying really hard to go smaller. They will shrink with me, and if I fail to reduce their size, they will still fit even if I lose the epic Chocolate Cake fight. Finally, some mentioned the smell. I've been to India before and bought textiles. That's what they smell like. Wash once and hang dry and the smell is gone. I've been wearing Indian fabrics for about 25 years and it doesn't really matter. The material is quite light and airy, not a heavy material for a saree. So it's really warm weather clothing. The colors are particularly Indian. You may think the patterns look weird or contradictory, but wear them. You are impressive. Indians aren't afraid of color—nor should they be. Go ahead and click. I'm glad I did! And when my daughter starts wearing my Indian sari skirt butt on her, um, booty, then I'll probably buy another set.
