The waistband was on the small side for a size medium, and the dress has a LOT of volume. I ended up returning it because it was too dramatic for me, so I’m not sure if it would have laid nicer after being washed, but it went out at like a 70 degree angle to my waist. It’s not straight out but it’s definitely not a gentle A-line, at least not right out of the bag.
