I realized that my seamstress would need to cut about 3in off the waist in order to take it in to size SOOOOOO I elected to have the skirt cut at the hem up to 27in. Let me say that the waistband.well if you plan to tuck in a blouse you should plan to cover the band with something like a belt or don a jacket. After these alterations.the skirt was perfect!
