I hate those huge puffy foam handles and stuff like that. I used to get cramps in my arms when I was hanging on something big and thick. They help a bit with the vibration and are a very soft, sticky, gummy substance with a texture that is pleasant to the touch with or without gloves. I know I always have to wear gloves and usually do, but I feel pretty good without them. The hole pattern allows it to be springy and cushioning without being thick or soft. I would like pistol grips with the same texture. Stickiness suits me too. Whether I'm wearing regular unlined gloves or thicker insulated gloves, I can just rest my hand on the wheel without the throttle slipping. With thick gloves and foam rubber, I have to constantly press the throttle and mix hard to maintain the same setting on a long ride, and that causes cramping. Another advantage of the handle is that it has a normal diameter. , and not too big, I could use cramps with that. I only do it on long trips, but it's nice to be able to do it. I should also note that several friends who tried my bike and grabbed the handlebars without prompting from me immediately commented on how good those grips compare to theirs. This is a simple and inexpensive part, but sometimes simplicity is better. I bought two pairs of these because the first one broke. Buying them again wasn't difficult.
