OK, I'll keep it short and sweet: I tend to hang around and research things thoroughly before I buy them. I spent four hours trying to figure out which monitor would work with my laptop as the graphics card would only work with a 1920 x 1080 monitor. When I hooked up a 39" HDTV, I realized how awful it looked and how difficult it was. Needed to read documents and spreadsheets (when you're only 3 feet from the screen; for example, when you're sitting at a desk). I bought this monitor because I didn't want to spend $200 on nameless junk like "view sonic" or some weird Chinese monitors, but I was really worried it would look terrible (just like a 1920x1080 flat screen TV). I can tell you it looks fantastic. Obviously not as good as an Ultra 4K TV. But it looks great if you're working from home and just want a big monitor that doesn't smudge text. It also has a very good streaming picture, but obviously you can get more if you spend twice as much.
