I bought this bag to replace my Case Logic SLRC-206. I was getting severe lower back pain with the Case Logic SLRC-206 because the padding in the lower part wore down. I started to feel the bottom base which is hard wood/plastic dig into my pelvic bone. I was bruised for days. I thought it was caused by other issues but I noticed it was the hard bottom base every time i carried the bag. I saw videos on youtube of the Evecase Shell and I had to have it. love the small bag which fits all my batteries, small tripod, sensor cleaner, wipes, flashlight, etc. There is also another pocket on the inside which I use to store lens caps, remote, lens wipes, which you can also put on the small pouch. I love the two metal clips found in front of each shoulder strap, I hang my camera using the front metal clips found on the front of each shoulder strap. I use it to carry my sony A7II, sigma mc-11, Canon 24-105mm, canon 100mm, sony 28mm, canon 50mm and leave extra slot for the rain cover pouch and some bags of almonds. macbook pro 15.4" fits perfectly. I havent traveled with it on a plane but im sure it fits. love the side pouch which I use to carry water/umbrella. I wish the tripod straps were sewn to the fabric because had a bag in the past where I lost the strap so I just hope I dont lose it. I may just glue it. One of my friends saw my bag and said she was going to return her new camera bag which she just purchased and buy this bag. I plan to leave the small pouch home when I need to carry my lee filters and adapter ring. I dont want to risk breaking my filters in the small pouch. removing it gives me enough room to carry my filters. there is room in the bag for the filters but I just over pack. check out some videos on youtube so you can see the actual size. sometimes pictures make the bag appear huge. I highly recommend this bag.
