I ordered this with the intention of making a single machine Linux based emulation station. First of all, I am an IT professional and have been building computers for at least ten years. I am very tech savvy with computers, both hardware and software. TLDR: This computer is fantastic in every way, no compromises. First, let's talk about packaging. The packaging was surprisingly clean and pleasant to the touch. When you open the box you have a PC (about the size of a square tissue box) and lots of accessories above it. These include an HDMI cable, a power cable, and what appears to be a USB-C cable. You also get PC mounts and mounting screws (which I didn't use but they come in handy just in case!) The first thing I did once I had it powered up was to install the Batocera straight away. I can say with confidence that it was incredibly easy and quick. Simply plug in the USB stick and install. I noticed that the SSD is very fast. They definitely didn't skimp on the SSD as it reads and writes very quickly. After everything was set up, I tested several emulators in Batocera. Almost everything worked perfectly. Initially, Gamecube games experience stuttering, but this is simply texture cache accumulation. After that, every game I ran ran at full steam. Gamecube, PS1, PSP and everything below. For the price you pay this is not a problem. It's far more powerful than any Raspberry Pi you can buy and definitely outperforms any of the Celeron and Atom mini PCs available at Revain. While we're talking about performance, let's talk about the physical computer itself. It's got tons of I/O, two USB ports on the front, a big power button (with a bright LED that I really like!), USB-C. Most importantly, there are two HDMI ports on the back, allowing you to connect multiple monitors. I only use one of these for my 4k TV. This will definitely be a great backup computer as a work computer when needed. Although the case is made of plastic, it feels very high-quality. It's almost inaudible, especially when you're playing something on your monitors/TVs. Without a doubt, if you buy this mini pc you will be happy. Packaging, performance, input-output, the physical device itself - everything is very well made and thought through to the smallest detail. I would highly recommend this mini pc to ANYONE with a passing interest.
