My son loves them, they have a soft inside so they shouldn't be uncomfortable and the bottom is the same rubber material as regular shoes so they aren't slippery. The glitter is removed, but not so easily and not in large quantities so that it doesn't scatter everywhere, but the glitter is glued less than glued. They are easy to put on, the strap at the top of the bodice detaches on one side to make it even easier. They use velcro to close the strap which I appreciate.
