I don't recommend you to buy this.

I don't think you should buy this. Arrived about a week ago. When I opened it, I immediately noticed that it has a serrated blade, although the packaging and instructions for use specifically state that it has a smooth blade. No, the blade is serrated. I tested it tonight by slicing up a turkey breast. It's good at 5 (millimeters, I think that's the unit of measure) and up. When you want a subtle delicacy on a piece of boneless meat, it's difficult. The blade adjustment mechanism has a lot of play and cannot be precisely controlled. The whole point is to slice thinly, and this machine is under-made for that. The blade itself spins slowly, much slower than a regular food slicer. The meat tray slides very poorly and often jams, resulting in the need to reinstall. When the meat is sliced, there is no room for a tray or anything to catch the sliced meat, otherwise you end up with a big mess. The blade slows down so much when cutting that I have very little confidence in the durability of the motor or belt. The worst is the cleaning. The blade comes off easily, but that's where it ends. Nothing else breaks, which means you have to scrape the ground beef out of every crevice and do your best to wipe away any leftovers. Don't buy this, waste your money on a knife and knife sharpener. This is a waste of your money. If you want to slice vegetables thinly, buy a mandolin.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
