I bought this for a reason to have a working odometer in my old car as the factory one broke. It works great for this and seems accurate based on previous readings with other cars on established tracks. The trip meter is called an S for a ride and does the work for me. Resets to zero on power off. The total or cumulative odometer is also accurate, accumulating mileage on every trip as it should. You'll need to reset this to zero if you want it to reset to zero for the next long ride. The instructions will show you how to reset it if you want. All in all a pretty good product for the money. The speedometer numbers are large, bright and easy to read. I really wish the odometers would read tenths of a mile like a regular car odometer, but they only read a full mile. You can drive 9.9 miles and it still shows 9 miles.
