Still a bit noisy but what you would expect given the fact that you want to be compact and run off a boat battery. This allows me to keep my large 3 person inflatable boat folded until I want to use it. I don't think the safety valve is very helpful. This keeps the inflatables from filling up quickly and I keep an eye on it all the time anyway so I'm pretty sure I know when the inflatable is full and can turn it off myself. It would be nice if I didn't follow inflation, but that's it. This is a great little pump that has now settled in my boat. Thanks very much!
