Cheap hard plastic hose ripped before first use

I don't understand why these air pumps come with plastic hoses. I took mine out of the box and straightened the black hose. It blew a hole halfway through the hose before I even had a chance to use it. Just replace the old plastic hose with a 3/4" rubber hose and two hose clamps and then use it. Get a dishwasher drain hose at a hardware store. When I look at how fragile this hose is, I don't see the slightest bit Chances are it'll last long at all, a few cents more for a decent hose would do…

Inflates quickly, gets very hot, can pick up dirt/gravel

I use two seasons to inflate river tubes. Works quickly and efficiently, but the pump gets very hot after a very short use. I'm not sure if they tend to fade, but mine still works. Also, there is no filter at the inlet, so if you have an inflator on the floor, they run the risk of sucking dirt and debris into your body like my unknowing friends did. I had to open the case to clean it of rocks and debris. My solution was to mount the pump on a piece of plywood to allow it to stand upright…

Misleading description of content

I bought this little pump based on the description and customer reviews on my 14ft inflatable boat. I bought this pump specifically for the Halkey Roberts valves I have on my boat because the product description says it includes a Halkey Roberts nozzle. After receiving the pump I noticed that the part that was supposed to be the attachment I needed looked too big, tall and thick to attach to the valve. Compared to the actual HR valve mount piece, the one in the box is nowhere near the right…

  • Useless features

Still a bit noisy but what you would expect given the fact that you want to be compact and run off a boat battery. This allows me to keep my large 3 person inflatable boat folded until I want to use it. I don't think the safety valve is very helpful. This keeps the inflatables from filling up quickly and I keep an eye on it all the time anyway so I'm pretty sure I know when the inflatable is full and can turn it off myself. It would be nice if I didn't follow inflation, but that's it. This is a

Efficient and fast air delivery up to 2.5psi

This pump was a workhorse in inflating my water toys to around 2-2.5psi quickly and efficiently. It also comes with a pressure relief valve that claims to stop inflation pressure at 1.4psi (I didn't use a pressure relief valve). This device did most of the work of filling my inflatable paddle boards for me, allowing me to spend a lot less time diving. The unit comes with multiple nozzles attached to the hose, making it versatile for filling a variety of water toys. Keep in mind that this air…

Overpriced, broke after 1.5 months

Update: This unit stopped working after a dozen uses. I opened the engine case and there was a small belt snapped between the engine and the fan. Very bad design and I can't even get it back now. Don't waste your money on this garbage. On the plus side it works well, definitely faster than those rechargeable air pumps. I basically used it to inflate my 5 person Intex raft and it did the job in just 5 minutes! I used a 79Ah battery and checked the voltage before and after. The voltage drop was…

Make sure you have a good battery!

I had a smaller air pump to inflate the tubes and mats on the lake and having recently bought a Wow lap slide I realized I needed a high pressure pump to get the job done . I ended up buying an airhead high pressure pump as I used a different one for 3 seasons and it still worked. This pump inflates and deflates all of our water toys twice as fast as our old pump and is quieter than our old pump. My only recommendation is if you're going to be using it for a long period of time I would suggest…

The second best for your dirty after-motor!

This really blows up my 9.5 foot Achilles Fast inflatable. I leave the pump on as I go from the fill valve to the next. Why? Because it gives the pump a chance to cool down for a minute before making the next chamber. I use a small AGM battery from a garden tractor with a harness. It works through multiple inflations. Until the juice runs out. The foot pump is still needed in case something happens to it, but I have to say I like it. Advantages - fast filling and no overflow if you use the red…

Works well, but look for better manual or rechargeable pumps first.

Good: - The battery terminals get more power than the cigarette lighter version - It pumped up to PSI fairly quickly, as intended. The pump itself has never given me any problems. The Bad: - Somehow I missed the disclaimer that it only works to 1.4psi when I needed 3psi. I think it's my fault. After a year or two the tube started falling apart and seemed to melt in the sunlight when I left it in the trunk. I patched it up and lived another year or two before giving it up. With all the hassle of
