Review on PostgreSQL by Chris Endricko

Revainrating 5 out of 5

PostgreSQL database server used daily

It has good support for OLTP applications. Easy to deploy in production environments with builtin replication capabilities available as well if needed. Not much about its features but it works great. Support from Oracle's side was not enough so far or something else that I don't know about it now at this point would be an example which causes me problems using postgresql heavily when they did have some issues before regarding the latest release of 10g - 11g (as i remember). At least we can say there are no other known flaws right now except maybe their customer service department sucks because my customers who use them complain every second month again! We solve our reporting needs easily by having all data stored within one relational model while still being able update information without any problems since version 8i/9i up until 9f+. I like the ease of use and how it is easy to integrate. The documentation is very good. I dislike that it is not as easy to migrate to a different DBMS as other options. I am solving a problem of tracking and storing customer information. It allows me to integrate with other platforms and share information across the business. It also allows me to quickly get data from one system to another.
