PostgreSQL database server used daily

It has good support for OLTP applications. Easy to deploy in production environments with builtin replication capabilities available as well if needed. Not much about its features but it works great. Support from Oracle's side was not enough so far or something else that I don't know about it now at this point would be an example which causes me problems using postgresql heavily when they did have some issues before regarding the latest release of 10g - 11g (as i remember). At least we can say…

Pros
  • Great SQL database engine
  • Good performance, scalability & reliability.
  • No need additional software such eases deployment process due simple installers included into most server operating systems nowadays,
  • Supports concurrent access via multithreading , Relatively free source code license costs., Well documented open standard protocol(s) supported widely around world

It's very easy to implement in your application as it supports most of the popular programming languages like Java/C#/.Net.It has excellent performance with large data sets compared to other databases out there. Pros
  • Easy installation
  • Excellent Performance
  • Good Support Community.
  • No conflict while integrating multiple database solutions into one solution!
Cons
  • Not many resources online available related o pgsQL development, especially when compareng against oracle devops
