What you need

First: I will add a photo after doing a new root fix and correction of streaks on the hair to go from a strawberry blonde freshly bleached bottom rather golden blonde. Use a conditioner like Tresseme, Suave Coconut, etc. If it doesn't have a different shade than the conditioner, you can make your own toner at home. If you're using my method for toning, add about a US cent or less and shake it very well in your conditioner (think the weight of the shake, yeah I know it's uncomfortable). All you need as a toner is a very pale, powdery shade of blue. Use as a leave-in conditioner, maybe once a week depending on how often you feel you need it. For better effect, use hair dryer for 10 minutes. _____________________________ For those who want to dye their hair blue: Adore is a good product, one of many I've tried. I believe so. There is color bleed, but this is one of the least flowy dyes I've used. From the bottle you might think it looks a little purplish blue, but after mixing it with the conditioner I noticed that it diluted the cool blue more than the warm blue. if it makes sense Warmer blue blends with purple. To be honest, the color on the label is correct. I'd say it compares well to Punky Color, but I feel like I'm getting a little bit more out of every bottle. The only thing that bugs me is a bottle with a syringe instead of a bath. I can't use every drop like this.* It's barely noticeable on dark hair. At level 1 or 2 (black or dark brown) this will not appear blue, but you will get a blue-black tint like raven black. * Bleach your hair until it is the color of the inside of a banana peel. . To achieve this bleaching, either visit your local Yelp salon and ask them to bleach it. DO NOT expect it to go platinum if you visit. Hairdressers will hate you for it. Instead, take their advice and opt for extra visits. If you don't use a barber, check out the best at-home bleaching methods. DO NOT try to get platinum in a day. They will chemically burn your hair and scalp. Sheds for dayyyyys. But you MUST use a quick blue/blue zipper set (or 2 depending on the length of your hair). Blue bleach will help get rid of the unpleasant bronze color. * If you have shoulder length or longer hair, buy 2-3 bottles. To be on the safe side, dial 4 because it's easier to have extra funds for future root work and get a bright blue than having clumsily colored hair. As you apply color, saturate each section until it seems superfluous. This is literally the best way to reach each strand. Also use the dryer if you let the paint dry. This will lift the cuticles on the hair strands, which will help the pigment penetrate them. Rinse your hair with very cold water, and after waiting for as many days as you can stand, wash your hair with cold water and a color-safe shampoo and conditioner - separate bottles. The color glitter mentioned is also perfect for keeping the color vibrant. Avoid sulfates; this pulls out the pigment. * If you notice bleeding, this is normal. I've had better dyes for my hair, even with color safe hair products. Semi-permanent color always fades fairly quickly, especially reds and blues. I hope my advice helps you get the most out of your hair dye.
