I do not know whether to recommend them or not. First, they are great! Colors, pens, fabric, all in excellent quality. They are strong and big. But that smell! I read the reviews before buying but I think people are overly sensitive or exaggerating. In this case they are not! I have a very good sense of smell and when I first smelled them it was awful! I put them outside to air for a week before deciding to bring them inside. They still smelled bad but I figured it was just me and my strong nose and I could handle it. My husband has a very poor sense of smell so I know it's serious when he says they smell bad. I injected. did not drench her in fever and left her for a few more days. Did not help. I've had them since September 24th and it took a weekly shower from a feverish breeze and an outlet next to them for the smell to start to fade. I still smell strong hints of the fragrance, especially when I take one out and use it. I don't know when it will go away completely, but it shouldn't be that long. The baskets themselves are great, but the smell is really that bad. like vomit and spoiled food. The whole room will stink.
