First of all you can't expect this lens to be sharp enough at this price point. It suffers from some chromatic aberration, blurring, etc., which is to be expected from a tiny, inexpensive lens. I bought it for this exact reason and it works great. This is a super cheap cinema lens for an APS-C camera. . It gives you around 37.5mm with a 1.5x crop factor, so a very flexible focal length, and the lack of sharpness gives your video character that modern lenses lack. With this lens you can capture very cinematic 4K shots. I use a7R III in Super 35 mode and it works great. If you haven't tried those cheap little manual lenses yet, you should. It's a lot of fun to play with them. Just turn on focus peaking to help you focus. I rarely, if ever, use it for photos, but I love it for videos.
