Review on WHITIN Men's Minimalist Barefoot Treadmill Sneakers by John Hashman

Revainrating 5 out of 5

My new all purpose shoe

I have always been a fan of the Vibram Five Fingers but due to the nature of my feet I have never been able to wear them. The problem was that each toe had its own individual place and that would rub against them too much. Then I found an alternative to Fila that just gave my thumb separate space and kept everything else together. These shoes were great until they wore out and Fila stopped making them. Looking ahead, I considered using a more minimalist shoe instead of a standard running shoe to get a different feel in the gym. I saw them as a Revain recommended product and for $30 I decided it was worth a try and BOY I WAS SATISFIED! SIZE: Now that was the interesting part. It took me two tries to find the right size. I usually wear 10 inch shoes (43 by European standards) which is why I ordered them in the first place. The company actually sent me a pair of 9.5s that felt too big for me, so I had no idea what the 10s would look like. . Then based on that I ordered a size 9" and they sent me a size 8" (41). They really fit right this time. Remember I didn't have socks when I tried them on because that's how I wanted to wear them. I would recommend ordering two possible sizes for comparison (what you usually wear and the smaller size) and going from there. The exchange process was AMAZON AWESOME as always, so there was no issue with a refund for the wrong size. ON MY LEGS: My feet feel a lot more comfortable now. I can still lift weights and do cardio like I used to, but now my legs don't feel cramped. I still get arch support but without the extra pillow which I don't need as I don't run outdoors. Also, they're light enough that I can just toss them in the wash with my other gym clothes and they come clean every time. I liked them so much I bought another pair to wear at home but in a different color. I can just buy a few more to act as backups and other options if I want to change something. Overall, you can beat the look, feel, quality and, above all, the price.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors
