Gets the job done but leaves something to be desired

I used to have other Gunnar glasses for computer work and they broke after a few years so I decided to use them because I liked their style. I was very disappointed when I first tried them on because they were quite tight around my temples and I ended up with a really bad headache after only using them for a few hours. I rate myself as having a medium to slightly larger face (I'm 6ft 190lbs and wear oversized hats). Due to the severe headaches these glasses gave me, I resorted to wearing the glasses over my ears to reduce the stress on my temples. That helped, and thankfully the temples of the glasses have a spring feature that allows them to expand beyond 90 degrees, but not by much. Overall the glasses do their job of preventing eye strain and I love how they have a slight magnification to make text I'm reading a little more legible BUT I'm really disappointed with how narrow these frames are; hence my 3 star rating.

Pros
  • GUNNAR has developed a blue light protection factor that indicates how much of the maximum blue light spectrum (450nm) we block. Not all blue light glasses on the market protect you from the strongest high-energy visible light.
Cons
  • Non-automatic
