UPDATE 02/05/2021 After being in service for just over a year this speaker stopped working this morning. It's just dead. I needed a new portable bluetooth speaker as the model I used to use broke a bit and this manufacturer changed the design and it no longer suited my needs. It was exactly what I was looking for. ADVANTAGES: - small enough to be carried around but not tiny; - powerful sound despite the small size; - suction cup and carrying strap; - waterproof; easy to use buttons - expandable if I decide to buy a second one - very good battery life CONS: - had to search online for instructions to set the clock - water resistance is good as I use it in the shower every morning but after that I dropped it in the bathtub (seized immediately), the sound was muffled for a while; - While I can turn off the light when listening in bed, I can't turn off the "clock" light. (not a deal breaker as red lights are the least intrusive). None of the cons (for me) were worth removing a star from the rating. I love this little speaker; he lives in my "work bag" and accompanies me to and from work every day, and I miss him when I forget him at the office. I have to say I'm not a sound specialist so your mileage may vary. I was looking for something to listen to quiet music at work and usually podcasts at home, occasionally play some music at home and turn it up. For home use by the average person this is an excellent speaker with effective sound quality. If you're an audiophile, you'll have to make your own decision.
