I bought this suit in M for my 11 month old kitten who has been neutered. For reference, she weighs just over five pounds, although I'm sure she'll be gaining weight now that the surgery is over. The suit fitted her body very snugly, but not too tight, which seemed to leave enough room. a spot near her hindquarters so she can use the bedding and groom herself without worrying about the suit getting dirty. The velcro is high enough on the back that she can't get to it and there is a latch at the neck that can be tightened/loosened depending on your furry friend's neck size. The only downside I can point out. this is the size tag. It's on the outside of the costume and was the focus of my cat. She kept tearing and biting him. I cut off whatever I could from the suit, but there was still some left and she just couldn't ignore it. Highly recommended.
