The secret of installation in plastic awnings

Small plastic awnings. Many of us have them. I have an 8' x 8' Lifetime brand shed that I use for garden supplies. Whilst the days are still short at the end of winter I am going in and out of this barn constantly fetching seedling trays, potting mix bags etc while running my flower and vegetable homes indoors for the coming season. But going there anytime after 5pm meant either dim light or no light at all. I needed overhead lighting. But how do you install these lamps when there is only a metal support overhead? zippers. (sigh!) Yes. They work great. (See photos in this review.) I was able to easily attach the base plate of these lights to any hanging truss with a 12" cable tie. Then I simply put the body of the main light on the base plate and fixed it. 10 minutes to turn on both headlights. And since these lights only turn on in the dark, my batteries aren't wasted every time I open the barn door. The 20 second auto shut off is great EXCEPT when you are not moving. I sat at my potting table in the barn many evenings, working with seeds, and looking like I was suffering from a precisely timed hand cramp as I raised my hand to turn on the light from time to time. So the light isn't exactly perfect, but 2 of these in my 8' x 8' room give me great light.
