About 3 years ago we had to replace the original Dyson DC56 charger which broke just after the 2 year Dyson warranty expired. Of course. I contacted Dyson support but they wouldn't hear of it. We have never had a charger for a rechargeable device fail so soon after purchase. The new one worked flawlessly for 3 years until a few days ago. So now we have our third charger in just over 5 years. I think the OEM design is flawed at the point where the cable enters the device. Very disappointing as we handle it with care unplugging and plugging it back in. These things should last for years!
