Bought two of these as I have a work laptop and a personal laptop on my desk. It can get slightly warm when gaming on a personal laptop. Since the vents are in the rear, I figured they would help dynamics by placing the exhaust higher than the intake and giving the intake more room to breathe. So far I haven't had any throttling issues with either laptop and both are quieter. I have yet to fold them back as the laptops sit there almost 100% of the time, but overall they seem pretty sturdy.
