After years of doing nothing when it comes to home printing I finally saw the benefits of laser printing and I'm no longer fooled by inkjet printers! A little background: Since my husband and I moved in together in 2009, we have had revolving door inkjet printers. We would have had one for a year or less, it would have broken or deteriorated and been impossible to salvage. In the last 5 years alone we have disposed of about 3 printers. This was not only a blatant waste of money, but also an unnecessary burden on the environment. While researching laser printers for my boss, I found a great article on why to buy a laser and was instantly sold. Here's a summary of why I switched to laser and why I chose THIS printer: - Low cost of ownership. I'm a rare printer. Inkjet printers would dry up because we don't print often, but of course there are times when it's needed, such as B. Tax season, receipts or tickets. It drove my husband crazy that he couldn't type when he had to, and typing at work was painful and I didn't want to do it. For us, this machine prints a lot of pages even with a non-XL cartridge. The toner does not dry out. You can sit in the cartridge with the toner without clogging the printhead like with an inkjet printer. Your investment in your car stays an investment because it lasts so much longer. Monochrome print. For people like me who don't have anything to print, black and white printing is a great investment as you don't have to buy four different types of toner and since we're printing secondary material anyway it's the perfect solution. Clean text. Laser prints text much sharper than inkjet. For me as a hobby graphic designer this is noticeable. Of course, I don't print anything graphic because lasers generally don't print as cleanly as inkjet printers, but I love seeing how sharp even old receipts come out. Speed. This thing amazed ALL of our old inkjet printers with its printing speed. Holy cow, he spat out his first test page before I could reach him. Inkjet printers had such long warm-up and cool-down times that printing tickets or directions and trying to rush out the door stinks. Love it! - scanners. It's easy to scan with this device, the scans are clean and crisp. The tablet works perfectly. We're not big scanners and I usually just scan images, so this model is great for us. Wireless connection. We installed this in no time without connecting a single cable to our PC. Just had to connect the car to our WiFi and that's it. For the price, this brother, a name I already trust from office experience, can't be beat for our family. For the invitations I will still need to use a good quality printer but I haven't printed them at home yet and it's better to have the photos printed at the pharmacy for pennies to have them printed. So happy for this car!
