I've had many of their headsets over the years, both for gaming and leisure. The first thing you notice is that the microphone arm is much shorter than it used to be. People immediately said that, as usual, they couldn't hear me well. It's annoying when after a while I can tell that someone didn't quite understand what I said, but they're just tired of talking like that. The second is ear pads. They are thick plastic material. Like a stand up cushion in a fast food restaurant. Third, it hurts. In the past, the headband pad was a thick and wide single pad. They replaced it with two very narrow and thin pads. Combine the above with the headband's folding feature and it causes your hair to slowly pull back the longer you wear it. People with very short hair may not have this problem, but it drives me crazy. After years of loyalty, I'm sending this one back. I might try a different model, but if I do and the second one is just as bad, then the Sennheiser acquisition was probably the death of the brand.
