Bluetooth connection is pretty bad

First let me state the obvious. Anyone who thinks it makes sense to buy headphones that are connected to a fabric-covered cable should be aware that the fabric absorbs sweat. Personally, that seems like a bad idea to me. Of course, rinsing removes at least the salt contained in the sweat. But it seems to me that it is better to erase the rubber or plastic. Enough has been said about this and it didn't affect my poor rating. $300 is a lot of money for a pair of headphones. It's an inherent expectation that you can get premium headphones for this price point. (There are others that are much cheaper, unbranded.) However, I am completely blown away. If you don't use their app on your phone, the sound quality is really mediocre. I mean really mediocre. It's just "good". With their app the sound is much better. But on an iOS device, there are many apps that can tweak the sound to improve the headphones. So it seems like spending $200 less and investing in an app, for example, would be a better choice. The real benefit for me is the extremely poor bluetooth connection. I wore them on my bike yesterday. I carry my iPhone 8+ in the middle back pocket of my cycling jersey. Halfway through my journey these puppies would appear and disappear as if I were mere feet from my phone. It was very bad. As soon as I moved the phone to the jersey's right pocket, there was no dripping. Back to the center, fall out again. That's not normal. I've used the following devices with my phone in the center pocket without falling out: Beats X, Bose SoundSport, Bose SoundSport Free, AirPods, JayBird Run, Anker Zolo+ and more. This is totally unacceptable. That's why I'm giving this product one star. In my experience, B&O has had issues with new wireless products in the past. I had issues with the E8 when I bought them (battery drain issues, garbled audio and app issues), H9 (poor battery life, poor noise cancellation), and H9i (random shutdowns for no reason, like they just shut down). Sleep.
