I bought this a while ago and use it from time to time, use it with Beard Heat Protect Spray and it doesn't damage my hair. I have a very curly beard that doesn't like being left tamed, but after spraying on a little argan oil as a heat shield (or whatever you prefer that acts as a hair heat shield) and using medium heat, my beard length basically doubles. since everything straightens and then i go back and add some beard oil and use a regular round brush and my beard looks great all day long.
