Overall a great product! It heats up fairly quickly, is a decent size (not too big), works well and is overall worth the investment. The way the bristles are arranged won't burn or scald your skin unless you naturally leave them in one place for a long time. As long as you use it as intended with even strokes, you shouldn't have a problem burning your hair, but remember that beard care and grooming is also important when heating your beard. I was concerned about how effective it would be. The positive reviews were great, but the negative made me wary. Currently my beard is about 1.5-2 inches long. I want it to grow longer. I bought this a while ago and use it from time to time, use it with Beard Heat Protect Spray and it doesn't damage my hair. I have a very curly beard that doesn't like being left tamed, but after spraying on a little argan oil as a heat shield (or whatever you prefer that acts as a hair heat shield) and using medium heat, my beard length basically doubles. since everything straightens and then i go back and add some beard oil and use a regular round brush and my beard looks great all day long.

I gave three stars mainly because it took so long to receive the product. It was shipped less than a week after I ordered it (Revain spoiled me!). I've watched all the videos on this product and one of them says it's not a "magic bullet" and it's true. My beard is very curly but no longer than about an inch and not particularly thick. So this product doesn't straighten my beard like I was hoping, but it does help as part of a complete regimen of beard soap and beard balm.
