Review on Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II Fixed Lens - Discontinued by Manufacturer by Haruto Asahi ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The item is of good quality, there is only one minor defect.

A lens for specific purposes. If when purchasing a thing you don’t get what you expected, then these are not flaws. Another thing is if it does not correspond to the manufacturer's statements or some features are simply hushed up, but this has not yet been found in this lens, I have not conducted any special tests, except for the focus. They write about noise - it doesn’t bother me personally at all, I don’t do espionage - I don’t have to hide in the bushes. They write about fragility - yes, indeed, the case does not inspire confidence, you involuntarily have to be careful. But! Recently, he fell from a height of 1.5 meters onto asphalt and remained intact, which surprised me very much! Nothing broke, no cracks either on the case or on the lenses, the mechanics work, the focus has not gone astray. I think that I was just very lucky, do not repeat if you still need it!

Pros
  • 1. Price. 2. The picture is better than the whale EF-S 18-55 f / 3.5-5.6 IS 3. The lack of a stabilizer is compensated by a large aperture. 4. Small size and weight. Fits perfectly in your pocket as a spare.
