Not suitable for wide feet

It's a 50/50 chance with the stride-rite width and it's not a winner. To be on the safe side, I put them on x-wide, he can wear them wide in other styles. Even when I removed the sole from the inside, I didn't even put my foot in it. The ones we received were also different from the picture here. We had velcro and the picture shows laces. I was glad there weren't laces, but if they were I might be able to loosen them enough for his foot to fit. In the part where the elastic crosses it really narrows, I tried stretching them and still couldn't. I wouldn't put my foot in it. Even if I could, a kid with really wide and thick feet would feel uncomfortable in them.

Pros
  • My daughter loves her
Cons
  • Ordered a size 8 and they run small and narrow compared to other Striderite shoes. I should have bet 9 or 10.
