Review on Watercolor Brush Colors 15 Sheet Blending by Denise Davis

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Interesting but takes time to develop a good technique (see details). Recommended

I received the Chalkola watercolor brushes - 58 colors with 2 blend brushes without knowing what to expect. While I don't know if I'm right to sue them, the pens appear to behave like regular fine point markers - until you add water. As a kid I used water for dry markers, but always with poor results. This is not the case here. With Chalkolas, water seems to be part of how you should change the feather's behavior. It's an interesting effect, more like an ink wash, but it looks like watercolor if you use thick linen paper. As with the watercolor, the ink doesn't really cover everything very well (including pencil sketch lines). You'll also notice some color contamination at the marker tip, although this doesn't seem to have much of a negative impact on the output color. I can't say I'm a great tech with these pens, and I really am. I'm not saying $32 is a good price for pens, but they are different. I think it's probably worth something for those looking for a new tool for their creative expression. recommended
