Not a perfect replacement for Yesterday's News but does the job

This review is written by a longtime Yesterday's New customer who is hoping to find a replacement now that it is being discontinued. First, the quantity you get from Amazon is broken. The 4 pound option is actually a 12 pound bag. I have no idea what that's all about. Buy it from Chewy to avoid the seller's markup here at Revain as the price has doubled since they announced they were no longer publishing yesterday's news. noticeable differences. Although it is very absorbent, most of the urine stays at the bottom of the box until it has evaporated. This will cause a very bad odor. Perhaps using three times as much junk would solve this problem, but the biggest difference between the latest news and yesterday's news makes it very wasteful. There will be no news. This can be good or bad depending on how you look at it. It's now 100% dust-free litter, but it's much more difficult to clean without throwing away all the litter in the box, as once dry it's impossible to distinguish between urine-scented pellets and fresh ones. I now have to clean the tray twice as often to even out the odor and I still remove almost all of the junk every time. I see this becoming quite costly in the future. If you have an open tray in a ventilated area it might not be a big deal, but those with closed trays in small "it fits where it fits” style apartments will need to be cleaned frequently to keep the smell away and not weathered. It won't irritate your kitty's eyes. However, I really like that it comes in smaller pouches, but the fact that the pouch is plastic defeats the purpose of buying a more eco-friendly filler. less than yesterday's news, both due to the lack of crumbs and the size of the granules. All in all, this product is the perfect replacement if you don't mind cleaning the tray frequently or throwing out all the junk.
