Review on 🎧 Bose SoundSport Pulse Wireless Headphones with Heart Rate Monitor - Power Red by Michael Ringgold

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good sound good heart rate sensor but needs to be replaced after 1.5 years

For the most part I really liked these headphones. This was my first experience with anything other than in-ear headphones, so more experienced users didn't have a learning experience. I started with the wrong size earbuds, not realizing that a different size would fit my ears better. (I can't remember if I made something too big or too small.) When I realized my mistake, oh! Doesn't matter! I bought headphones to help me train for my first marathon. I walked with them in the light, in the spring rain and in the hot summer sun. I ran for up to five hours with no issues with my battery. The sound quality is good (although I'm not a music lover). And the Bose app allows the heart rate monitor to connect to my favorite fitness app. However, my experience was not ideal. The clip used to attach the wire to a shirt or jacket so it wouldn't get in the way fell off during exercise. I ran 10 miles (16.1 km). In order for my fitness app to notice the heart rate monitor, I have to connect to the Bose app first. Then I have to switch to my fitness app and wait for it to notice that the heart rate monitor is available. Unfortunately, the Bose app sometimes turns off the monitor when I switch to another app. So I have to restart the process. It may take a few tries before I get my setup to work successfully. Although I keep the earbuds in the charging case when not in use and don't subject them to excessive wear and tear, eventually the outer silicone case came off and the earbuds stopped charging after a year and a half. Luckily I bought an extended warranty and they fixed my headphones for free. But that's something to keep in mind.
