Works as advertised. If you just want to check a BBQ propane tank or camp stove propane canister for leaks, the bubble method is easy, cheap, and effective.

The device needs to be calibrated, be sure to read the instructions before using it. After calibration, I was able to identify the leak in a DIY project I made. I would recommend this to anyone looking to check their gas lines.

I have two Gas Knight wall detectors at home. I bought them right after a major gas leak. I bought a portable detector for home convenience and use in orphanages. Nice. So good. I guess I won't know until the gas is found.

Although I bought it for home use I am quite familiar with gas analyzers in my career. This device works just as well as devices that cost a lot more. The problem with most devices is caused by "drift". Regulation will not stop here. It has very little drift. Simple enough for most who can use it with a little practice.

I was able to find a small leak in my old propane regulator and felt safe to install a new one to test it with. I also found that I could control the sensitivity so easily with the dial and being able to disable the beep/alarm with the headphones was a huge plus for me. I've only used propane for detection so far so can't comment on other gases like natural gas etc. Very happy with it!

When I first tried the detector it found a leak in the hose leading to one of the propane tanks at the front of our caravan. The device seems easy to use. Be sure to follow the instructions to calibrate it properly. The portability of the unit comes in handy as I have two 30 gallon propane tanks on the van, another 20 lb tank and a stove with butane tanks.

I bought the GasKnight Pro because I already have a GasKnight that has been connected to our kitchen for a while.
