Also suitable for machine needles

Hooray! I can sew again! They are a million times better than thin wire loops and still fit on machine needles. I bent one 90 degrees so it can fit in the back of the machine. Works great. My second tip is to bend it so that the hook is facing *down* when it tucks into the back of the machine needle. It's easier to maintain the tension needed to pull through than with the hook pointing up.

Pros

Application: 1. The metal needle points upwards 2. Insert the eye of the needle into the metal needle 3. Hook the thread into the metal hook 4. Pull out the thread and the needle threader is complete.

It works for large eyed needles well but is harder to use on the smaller eyed needles.
