I have a 1948 Chevrolet and had to remove the door panel to fix the latch mechanism. To remove the door panel, you must first disconnect the inside door handle and power window handles. There is a special clamp release tool that holds them. Unfortunately, the special tool will not work on a '48 Chevy. That's where this handy little kit comes in. I used a hook to grab the clip that holds the doorknob and window handles and it worked great where the expensive special tool didn't work. I'm sure there are many other uses for these hooks and picks but they did the job I specifically bought them to do.
