Works great as a USB hard drive docking station. Doesn't clone anything at all. I have all types of hard drives I've tried on this thing; Nothing worked. I have Western Digital, Maxtor, Seagate, all sizes (500GB - 5TB, all mechanical), Windows and Linux filesystems. I tried splicing six different drives (always putting the smaller size in slot A), ran the cloning sequence and it NEVER went over 25% after leaving it for hours, even overnight. I find it hard to believe this is a defect as USB works on Linux and Windows. I suspect this seller is selling this item on purpose because they know it's not cloned, because they know most people only use it as a docking station - and that most people will (foolishly) give it five stars without it NEVER clone anything. Hey maybe it works with SSD, I haven't tried SSD drives but I would just go somewhere else. "DO NOT BUY" is my recommendation. There are better, more reliable devices that work as a docking station and for cloning - for about the same price.
