A few years ago we bought some similar laser cutting kits for our grandson who likes to collect things and I, a retired engineer, was impressed with the end results. His kits were more complex than the roadster I just completed as they contained a lot of moving equipment and parts. This kit does not, but it is not intended for this and other entry-level models. And that's why I chose it for my first attempt, something like that. I'm in my seventies and haven't built any models in decades. But this winter we're going back to the Gulf Coast for a few months that we missed last year, and I know from past experience there will be days when I need to do something. This kit was a preparation for another larger and more complex kit that I am considering as a winter home project and I am happy to report that it was a great success. Putting it together wasn't too difficult for me with pretty old thumbs, but the model itself is quite small and some might get frustrated with small details. I broke only one part, but it was by accident, it has already been used successfully. The almost wordless instructions are otherwise pretty clear, and I completed the build in four sessions in as many days, spending just an hour or two each. I have to say that the resulting miniature roadster is really impressive. It's attractive and surprisingly durable, but it's not a toy. I really enjoyed the build and will definitely be ordering a larger kit, the locomotive, for indoor days at our Texas home. These and similar laser cutting kits may not be for everyone, but if you're reading this review, you're probably a good candidate. This example was reasonably priced and exceeded all of my expectations. If you want to give it a try like I did, you can't find a better choice.
